Donate Old Laptops – Safely Refurbished and Given Away for Free!
Send me your old, working laptop – I securely erase all data, install Linux Mint, and make it ready to use.
Most laptops are given away for free, some I sell to cover costs for adapters, shipping, or spare parts.
💡 Battery not working? No problem! Old Windows passwords or files will be completely erased.
What I Do
I refurbish donated laptops by installing a Linux-based operating system – secure, fast, and ready to go.
Then I give the laptops away for free to people who need a working computer.
Some laptops are sold to cover costs for adapters, spare parts, or shipping – every contribution helps make more laptops available.
Which Laptops I Accept
Only working laptops (battery can be dead).
Older models are especially welcome.
I do not repair laptops – only fully functioning ones are accepted.
🔒 Data Security & Privacy
All old data is fully erased – when installing Linux Mint I select the option “Erase disk and install Linux”.
No one can access old files – Windows passwords or accounts are completely removed.
You don’t need to unlock the laptop – I do not look at any data.
Donations are safer than dropping laptops at a recycling center, where data is often not erased.
If desired, laptops can be reset to factory settings before sending, but this is not required.
Why Access Matters
Without a laptop, many people cannot book online appointments, e.g., with doctors.
They miss important information like news, public services, or government updates.
Communicating with family and friends becomes more difficult.
Many older people or those with limited income cannot afford a new laptop. With donated and refurbished laptops, we provide access to the digital world – a tool to stay informed and independent.
Our goal: not just devices, but access, participation, and opportunities.
E-Waste & Laptops – Why We Must Be Careful
Worldwide, over 50 million tons of electronic waste are generated each year – only a small portion is properly recycled.
Many old devices are exported to developing countries, often broken or obsolete.
There, children and adults melt plastic and dismantle electronics to recover metals, which is harmful to health.
Batteries and other components can release toxins or catch fire.
Our solution: refurbish laptops locally in Germany and give them to people in need, instead of sending them abroad.

Donate money – via Ko-fi or by envelope to help cover adapters, shipping, or accessories.
Volunteer to collect laptops – pick up laptops and PCs in your area and bring them to me.
